Awesome guide! Got it all working but noticed the speeds of the VM is slow in terms of processing. I am only getting 1762 single core 32 bit performance but 20383 multicore performance. I have set the VM to 16 cores for my dual intel xeon 2650 setup with 32 GB ddr3 ram. Is the bottleneck caused by this line in the XML? <cpu mode='custom' match='exact'> <model fallback='allow'>core2duo</model> </cpu> I've tried setting the SMBIOS to identify the VM as a Mac Pro 6,1 at 2.8 GHZ processor (image attached), but the geek bench 3 scores are still the same. Anyone manage to jump out of this bottleneck? I've tried setting the XML from core2duo to SandyBridge but it did not boot, just hangs at the enoch boot screen and reboots.
