  1. What I like: it just works what I’d like to see in the future: an easy to set up way of accessing the server from outside of the home network.
  2. Hi folks, I've been having issues with setting up a new container - every time I try and add either couchpotato or sonarr, it just ends up adding an orphan - both seem to have some kind of problem adding the folder with movies/tv in. I've already tried stopping docker, delting the img (I was having some btfrs issues that the scrub couldn't fix...). Also, has anyone else had problems with performance of docker vs plugins? I tried using a plex docker, but it ran terribly - everything was slow from the web/clients - switched back to a plugin and it's running without issue. thanks, Harry tower-syslog-20160315-2037.zip
  3. thanks bjp999, replacing the cable seems to have worked, the parity check completed without error.
  4. Hi guys, I tried running a parity check today, and noticed it got stuck at around 40% - the syslog is showing all kinds of red lines for disk 2 (smartctl attached) - I guess I need to replace it? I thought unraid disabled 'bad ' disks though - that's happened in the past and I've swapped them out, so not sure if that's what's happening again here. I'm still running v5.0-rc3, I keep meaning to upgrade to final, I will once i figure out the parity check issue. syslog and smart report are attached, thanks! syslog-2014-03-24_cut.zip disk2_smartctl.txt
  5. I've just finished setting up my library in mysql, but I'm having the problem of it not shutting down unless i manually stop the mysql plugin - has anyone got a more automated way of dealing with it (eg something like how sab, sickbeard etc get stopped by the powerdown script, and autostart again when the server comes back up)? I need to get a monitor connected to the server so i can see what's happening during shutdown, but it looks like it might be the same as this: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=25015.msg217272#msg217272
  6. PVR support has finally made it into the main XBMC code (on the latest Frodo nightly releases) - from what I've read, using the MediaPortal TV Server as the backend works well...
  7. Voted Plex which i use at the moment, but looking building an openelec box or maybe seeing how the whole xbmc for android pans out - being able to ditch Win7 would be great! Does anyone have both a Dune/PCH/WD streamer and something with XBMC (or MediaBrowser/MediaPortal/etc)? Curious whether the picture quality/audio is better like someone suggested earlier in the thread. For me, the streamers biggest downside was their interfaces, not being able to show whether movies, and more importantly tv episodes, were watched made them pretty useless.
  8. so i did more searching on the forum and found this post (http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=12224.0) about beta 5.0b6a which mentions running disk_mbr_debug (attached) but looks like gibberish to me! and then following the link to http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=11540.msg109780#msg109780 seems to indicate i need to run either * mkmbr /dev/sdc 63 0x83 => normal MBR, partition 1 starts in sector 63 or * mkmbr /dev/sdc 64 0x83 => normal MBR, partition 1 starts in sector 64 ?? disk_mbr_debug.txt
  9. Hey guys, I was looking at upgrading to v5 beta and was going through various pages in the Unraid main screen when I saw 4 of my disks show as "Partition: Unknown" - I guess this is going to cause an issue if i try to upgrade so wanted to see what if there was something I could do beforehand...? syslog attached, are there any other logs i need to run to id the issue? thanks! syslog-2011-09-25.txt
  10. I voted yes as that's how i want the server to behave, but haven't got around to actually getting it set up - is there a 'best method'? i've played around a bit before but stopped when i kept getting red balls of doom next to certain drives, since i've stopped using sleep they've been fine! also noticed that if i send the server a wol when its powered down, it turns on, no idea how i managed to set that up!
  11. is there a reason no one's recommending midnight commander (what i use)?
  12. hi folks, i just tried upgrading from 4.7 so i could try out the new plex media server, but 2 drives came up missing (which i now realise means i just needed to re-assign them on the devices page) and all but the parity drive showed as mbr unknown, syslog attached, not sure what i need to do to be able to bring it back online? thanks syslog-2011-05-15.txt
  13. i'll reply to myself incase it helps anyone else - flashed the bios to the latest version, HPA is on by default... sigh, guess it's time to get a new MB.
  14. ibnub - did you ever get around to flashing the bios? is there an option to disable the hpa thing? i have the same board but only realised that i had HPA on two of my drives, going to try flashing the bios later...
