  1. Sorry, no idea. Probably a permissions thing I'd imagine. should I check the permisions inside of docker image or just the data/ folder?
  2. Hey guys, I am a happy user of this docker, just I am not able to delete multiple folders. It always finnishes with ERROR deleting folder. What is weired, in my log I have no error message. in data/nextcloud logs is no error message. I have set the loglevel on 2. I have tried changing it to even 0 but clearly still no error messages. I tried to rescan all files from commandline but that hasnt halped either. I even tried deleting all entries from oc_file_locks but still no help. Do u have any idea why this happend and why my logs are empty? Thank
  3. the problem is with database, how can i automatically backup database?? for data folder i can use crashplan.
  4. Thanks worked perfectly. I got one more question though. Is there a possibility to regularky (weekly) backup whole nextcloud (meaning all data folder, installation AND MySQL database) to another share? I searched a lot but i havent found any feasible automated combination.
  5. Hello guys, I am one of the super happy users of this container. Just recently very weird thing happend to me. I am not able to delete multiple folders from nextcloud. They appear in web interface but not in client (logs are empty). I googled and I figured that possible solution is to run: sudo -u www-data php occ files:scan I have trubbles to understand how can I execute such a command in the container. I would be happy if anyone could give me a hint. Thank you!
  6. Thanks for fast reply, I figured it out. One more command I needed: chmod 644 custom.cnf this after chown, it worked!
  7. Thank you for your fast reply, but this I have done already before and no help. I followed all your steps from totaly clear install with no other docker installations and clear shares.
  8. http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=50090.msg524760#msg524760 Thank you for your reply, I tried all I could but i stucked on the same error as chuga. I have restarted everything, tried to reedit mariand cfg save and reaply chown 644 but no succes Here I am giving a picture of my appdata/mariadb
  9. Hello guys, I tryied to install nextcloud with mariadb as it stands here: https://www.linuxserver.io/2016/07/28/installing-nextcloud-on-unraid/ Just when I try to create an admin user and link the database I get following error: Error while trying to create admin user: Failed to connect to the database: An exception occured in driver: SQLSTATE[HY000] [1049] Unknown database 'nextcloud' Can someone please help me with this? Thanks!
  10. Thank you all for inputs! The teamViewer is a good idea, however, I had in mind to back up regularly my notebook when i am out of a home network to unraid. Do you know some other possibility to back up a computer which is outside of a home network to unraid? @phbigred That is exactly what I thought that owncloud has a decent security. But why then everybody is so afraid about forwarding ports to unraid, if the connection is secure? For example, ports as ssh, sftp, https? Thats what is not clear to me.
  11. Thank you very very much for your reply! If I understand you correctly, you are still talking about shares, aren't you? But as I said, the most important for me is the access to owncloud over internet. That means ddns ->https-> port forwarding 443 -> owncloud login. The question is how secure is this connection? I am sorry If I am asking a question on which you have answered already, sadly I do not see it there. Thanks for the patient!
  12. Thank you very much for your input! Yes, the plex combination as you described I am using right now, however, it is not the most important for me. The result of your input is that other than vpn I will not be able to securely access my shares, right? Is there any other possibility as hardware firewall? Just to be sure, everytime I want to connect to any share over the internet I am asked for password and user name, this layer of security is very little for most of malwares? For me definitely the most important is to have access to owncloud over the internet. I am currently using the method for 1 year I have described above and I did not have any problem. Is it just a matter of bad luck I will eventualy get hacked? Thus the owncloud login screen with https encryption is totaly not sufficient to protect agains such atacks? How these -wares can passthrough other files on a pc? Thank you very much again for your inputs!
  13. Hallo guys, I am new here. I think I have read all forum topics regarding internet access to unraid tower. However, now I am really confused what is secure and what is totally insecure. Based on this message enable ftp is alright :http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=2112.msg15539#msg15539 however here they say no: https://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=37207.msg344228#msg344228 for this reason, I would like if somebody could clarify the security problems once for all. It is clear that the UNRAID was not made for internet access, however, I think for many people the main purposes will be Owncloud and plex, thus it is necessary to access server from everywhere. Currently, I am running owncloud and plex on ubuntu server, what runs very smoothly over internet, nevertheless I would like to use the virtualization possibility of unraid server. What I want to achieve: Running owncloud which I would be able to access through the internet without the necessity of using VPN (I use owncloud on PCs in university where I can not change the connection) -> as I have done it now: ddns, port forwarding port 443 to server, apache redirects the incoming request based on its name to owncloud with https (ssl). Is such an approach secure in case of unraid? acces user shares over the internet, possibly without vpn use virtual machines over the internet (just ssh is sufficient) where already I can use VPN My question on you guys is: what is secure and what not to use over the internet. I would be very sad if only the possibility to access the server over the internet is VPN (it is inconvenient on every pc I am working with to set up vpn). Is it still vulnerable against hackers if I use owncloud with https? Thank you for any kind of comment! Thank you!
