  2. I am trying to build a system that works as my server to hold movies (Plex) as well as be able to still play games on it (Starcraft for example). I have it set up according to a few online videos i've watched but would definitely like some more advice on any changes I can make. I also noticed my windows is running quite slow and not sure if there is something i'm missing to make it quicker or if its just slow because of the hardware I have. Any advice is welcome. I've attached the diagnostics for reference. Still looking for help if anyone has the time. unlee-diagnostics-20161119-1144.zip

  4. I do have a keyboard/mouse and monitor plugged into it - I had to switch the monitor back to the CPU instead of the Graphics card so I could see what it was booting to. How do I go about "ping-ing" the IP address from another computer?
  5. Last evening I installed Windows as a VM and made a few configuration changes following Lime-techs guide and now I can't access my unRAID at all! It acts like it isn't connecting to my network at all. I can get it to the login of "root@unlee~:" but that is all. I try to access from another computer that is on the same network and nothing...Did I mess something up when I installed Windows? How do I access unRAID to fix it? Any help at all is appreciated, and btw I am considered a novice when it comes to this stuff so you may have to "spell" things out for me. Thanks!
  6. Hello all, A forewarning that I am very new at building computers and using complex software like UnRaid. I just recently built a combo PC/NAS and wanted to find more help on what I'm trying to do. I currently own 700 some DVD's and plan on ripping them to my server with Handbrake with Plex as my media center. I know plex is built into unRaid but where should I install Handbrake and my other software to rip the DVD's (on the C: drive or on one of the shares I created when installing unRaid)? Also, the other half of this is when playing games I use battle.net which can be downloaded to the desktop. Should I download this into one of my shares as well or download it to the C: drive also? When I tried downloading a game from battle.net to one of my created shares (after I installed the battle.net app to my C: drive) it game me an error saying folder not valid. Here is the computer that I built: Intel i5-6600k 3.5ghz Gigabyte GA-Z170-HD3 ATX LGA 1151 Motherboard G.
