    I confirmed this works the same for me too: - add <timer name='kvmclock' present='no'/> to the XML - cold boot the VM - future restarts require a hard shutdown

    Same issue, running Debian 8. I've tried changing cores, and also tried changing CPU from passthrough to QEMU. I've also tried changing the CPU governing mode from "Power Save" to "Performance" (using the Tips & Tweaks plugin). No luck. I keep getting the error no matter what I do. Hope someone has an idea how to fix this!
