No that I know off, they should come with the kernel, but a newer kernel may have newer drivers.

I would like to buy a USB PCIe card but I don't have any available ports on my motherboard. I have a built in micro SD card reader on the mb, do you think I could use that? Does it share the same USB bus?

Hello, I changed my server about 3 months ago, and since then I've always had problems with my boot USB key. I've changed it 3 times since, so the problem is not with the USB keys.

This morning I reformatted my key twice and after 2 hours my web interface no longer responds and I have a message that my key is corrupted. When I plug it into my PC, I get a message saying that my key needs to be checked. I've tried all the USB ports and even bought a header to connect directly to my motherboard. I did a 24-hour test of my RAM and had 4 complete passes. I have no more ideas about the origin of the problem, does anyone have an idea?

I have included the diagnostic file in the post.

  3.  Got this after a normal reboot

modprobe: FATAL : Module nvidia not found in directory /lib/module/6.1.49-Unraid

Edit: I uninstalled several plugins and downgraded the Nvidia plugin. After restarting, I no longer see nvidia error in the log, but the Dashboard still isn't loading.

Edit: I found the probem, the GuiStatistic plugin is causing issue, after removing it the dashboard is loading

  4. Hello Unraid Community,

I'm seeking assistance with a critical issue I'm facing with my Unraid server. Initially, the problem started with just the dashboard ceasing to respond, while all other tabs were functioning normally. However, this morning, the entire GUI became unresponsive.

    Detailed Issue Description:

    • Initial Problem: Unraid dashboard stopped responding, but other tabs were still operational.
    • Subsequent Issue: The entire GUI failed to respond as of this morning.
    • Troubleshooting Attempted:
    1. Accessed the server via SSH to attempt a restart.
    2. Forced to perform a hard reset as the restart through SSH did not resolve the issue.
    • Current Status: The problem remains unresolved even after the hard reset.

I am concerned about the sudden escalation of this issue and am unsure of the next steps to take. Could anyone provide guidance on how to diagnose and fix this problem? Any insights into what might be causing this sudden failure of the GUI would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much in advance for your assistance and suggestions.

Terminal window/SSH session opened on that disk? Something is still using it.

No, there is no connection. I am the only one using the server. The last time I tried to shut down the array, I had the same problem with the same disk.

I have tried to check if something is using the disk but this command return nothing
    lsof | grep /mnt/disk17

  6. Before stopping the array i stopped all dockers and Vm's

My parity is valid and i have to replace a disk i dont want to hard shutdown

I have the following error spamming in my logs

    Sep 13 10:44:12 Tower emhttpd: shcmd (17757): umount /mnt/disk17
Sep 13 10:44:12 Tower root: umount: /mnt/disk17: target is busy.
Sep 13 10:44:12 Tower emhttpd: shcmd (17757): exit status: 32
Sep 13 10:44:12 Tower emhttpd: Retry unmounting disk share(s)...

Try rebooting, the Connect plugin can take some time to show the correct key status.

I was able to activate the USB key, that's not the problem. The issue is that after a few minutes, the key seems to disconnect from the server as if I had removed it. I switched the USB port to see if I still have the problem.

  8. Hello Unraid community,

I've been using Unraid OS for several years now, but I've been encountering issues over the past few months. Believing it could be a hardware issue, I decided to change my motherboard. However, even after the change, I'm still experiencing strange issues:

The web interface is not working.

    SSH is unresponsive.

This morning, both the web interface and SSH were down, and my VMs were unresponsive. Interestingly, my Plex and some dockers were still running. I had to do a forced restart, and a few minutes later, I received a message indicating that my USB key was corrupted.

I'm reaching out to seek advice or solutions to resolve these persistent issues. Has anyone faced similar problems? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you in advance.

  9. Hello, for a few months my web interface has stopped responding and I have to restart my server / reset for the web interface to work again. Can you help me find the cause

    • When the web interface stops responding the server still works Docker / VM
    • I tried to connect in private and with another computer
    • The restart commands in SSH do not work, I really have to reset the server
    • The same problem happened at least 7-8 times
    • I had the same problem with previous versions of unraid

  10. Hello, I installed an nvidia card in my server to help with plex transcoding. I installed the Nvidia Driver plugin, waited for all to finish. I disabled and re-enabled Docker and then I went to the plugin options. My card is not detected but it is detected in tools system device and when creating virtual machines. I restarted the server several times and I like even uninstalled and reinstalled the plugin but the card is still not detected
