  1. I also tried the following just to make sure it was not the Toshiba drive so i selected a WD drive with same result.  Now im going #4 Single ZFS Drive to #4 Single ZFS drive and getting a 5-10 MB/s. Triple UGGGG!

  2. Is this common transfer speed for ZFS under these setup parameters.  I have created the following ZFS pools and disks.

    #1 3-M.2 SSD ZFS Z1 pool (Cache_NVME) with compression

#2 4-HDD ZFS Z1 pool (HDD_Zpool) with compression and encryption

#3 4-Single HDD ZFS formated drives with compression.

Rough file transfer results on a 8 Gig movie file:

#1 Cache Pool to #2 HDD Pool=168MBs-220MB/s (Before using XFS is was usually getting 120 MB/s) Great!

#1 Cache Pool to #3 Single ZFS drive= Starts off at 220 MB/s but 30% into the transfer process nose dives into the 30 MB/s range.  Uggg!

In short going from Pool to Pool is good for transfer but from pool to single sucks or do I have some sort of issue?

    Thanks,

  3. Well I rolled back the bios and it cut down on the crashes but did not stop them.  I then left the server running without any active VMs and got the same PCIE error but this time the system corrected for the problem which lead me down another road of questions and answers.

The only 2 changes that I made to the server after the rollback is as follows:

    1) In the bios under Onboard Device Configuration I changed both the U.2_1 Mode & U.2_2 Modes from PCIE to SATA since I was not using them.

    2) My SAS card had had a 4 drive bay connected to it that had 2 SSds and 2 HDDs.  I ended up going ahead and removing the 2 SSDs.  I will add that the SSDs had been hooked up previously for the past year without any issues.

    Everything is running great now.

    Many Thanks,

  4. Well I did not change the GPU but did a fresh install of both Windows 11 and Unbuntu.  The system will crash on both VMs but with no regularity.  I have attached both logs from the crash today at approx 12:15.  I happen to walk in on it when it was rebooting.  I truly appreciate the help!!!!!  I'm at a loss as to what is going on.

    Many Thanks,

  5. Update:

After reboot I restarted the Windows11 VM up and decided to run AIDA64 stability test on both CPU and GPU.  Ran two 5 Min tests (see attached) and 1 min after that was done system crashed.  I also put the PCIE setting back to AUTO in the Bios.  After the new upcomming crash :) I will try installing a NVIDIA GPU and see what happens.

    Thanks,

  7. What ever is going on is causing the whole server to crash and reboot.  This morning it lasted about  1 1/2 hours with windows VM running and then boom it goes down.  I went into bios and changed the video card Pcie Slot from Auto to Gen 3 and then rebooted.  The Windows 11 VM lasted about 5 min and then the entire system crashed.  The log did not show anything related to that crash but I will attach it anyway.

Went back into bios and changed PCIE setting to Gen4 and will see what happen.  Not even sure I'm on the right track but I believe its something to do with the GPU.

  8. Sorry I had attached the wrong Diagnostic.  In the sys log about 1/2 way down.

I will also add that I left the server running with the windows VM off  this past night and it did not crash.  With the Windows 11 VM on I usually get anywhere from 10 min to 2 hours before a crash takes place.  I just cranked up the VM this morning and its been up for about an hour now.

  9. My Unraid server was damaged (blown out window with rain water) in Hurricane Ida so I have rebuilt a new one but have an issue on boot.  It should be noted that I am using the old thumb drive along with the original drives.  On bootup the new Lsi controller is showing the drives so I assume they were not damaged.  I have attached a picture of what it is showing at boot.  Any help or if you can point me in any direction it would be appreciated.

    New Build:

    Processor: Threadripper Pro 3955WX

    Motherboard: Asus Sage WS WRX80E

SAS Controller: LSI 9201-16i 6G 16P SAS HBA P19 IT Mode

RAM: 8 GB Kingston ECC Installed from the old server (128GB Should be in Next Week)

    Power: EVGA SuperNOVA 220-P2-1200-X1

Case: Rosewill RSV-L4412U 4U Server Chassis Rackmount Case

    Cooler: Ice Giant Pro Elite

    VGA: RX580 (From old machine)

  10. Maybe i missed a thread somewhere but Ivwas wondering if there was a way to back up/clone one of my two parity drives to a different device?  This would be a total backup would it not?

Sorry if this if this is a dumb A** question but wasn't sure.

    Thanks,

    Big

  11. I have a question in regards to the hash rate.

I have a radeon rx 580 and when running on the Windows 10 VM im only getting around 15-16 on my hash rate.  When i pull the same card and run it on my desktop running windows 10 I'm able to get 26-27 on my hash rate.  Any clue on what to look at for the slowdown on unraid vm?

    Thanks,

    Big

  12. Same here but looking in logs and I'm finding this.

    "

Please set the environment variable TS3SERVER_LICENSE to "accept" in order to accept the license agreement.
Alternatively, create a file named ".ts3server_license_accepted" in the working directory or start the server with the command line parameter "license_accepted=1".
To view the license agreement set TS3SERVER_LICENSE to "view" in order to print the license to the console.
Alternatively view the file "LICENSE" in your favorite text viewer yourself."

Trying to figure where to do the change.

  13. While using Krusader, I somehow managed to delete the "user  <dir>" under my /UNRAID window in Krusader.  My "user0  <dir> " is still up and going but now I'm unable to access my shares on my window machine. Any help or direction would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Big

  14. New Build:

    Ryzen 1700 X

    Asrock Taichi X370

    2- 8 Gigs Kingston ValueRAM 8GB 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM ECC Unbuffered DDR4 2400 (PC4 19200)

    Noctua NHD15 AM4

    NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030

Everything is up, running & stable at this time but i did run into an issue booting up into unraid.  The only way that i can get the system to use the USB drive is to enable the CSM in bios.  Storage and Video have to have Legacy Mode enabled in order for the server to boot.  Is this normal?

    Thanks,

    Big
