  1. Switched to AMD GPU and Unraid 6.7.2, nothing works...until I found this thread. Now it works like a charme syslinux.cfg and vfio-pci.ids does not work for me anymore. The next test is to install the identical second card and see if I can use both. That was not possible with vfio-pci.ids or stubs. The cards have the same ID. Always error 127.
  2. I dropped the Ubuntu VM and create a new W10.....works. But I have no Idea why any Linux VM wont work.
  3. Hi, I have a problem with two identical GPU's for two VM's: Radeon RX 570 => passthrough => Windows 10 Radeon RX 570 => passthrough => Ubuntu 18.04 Extracted VBIOS attached. I use it for both GPU's. Reproduce: 1. Fresh Server Boot 2. Starting Windows VM 3. Testing Windows VM with Parsec Gaming...it works 4. Starting Ubuntu VM (first Install with VNC/Teamviewer) 5. Ubuntu Desktop works, now shutdown 6. Shutdown hangs 7. Forced stop but GPU still bind. 8. Windows VM freezed 9. Starting Ubuntu give me "Internal error: Unknown PCI header type '127'" Is there a bug in vfio when I have two identical GPU's with identical ID's? I have tested the following config but it doesent work: append isolcpus=1-5,7-11 xen-pciback.hide=(02:00.0)(02:00.1)(03:00.0)(03:00.1) initrd=/bzroot Setup: Unraid: 6.6.6 M/B: MSI - X99A GODLIKE GAMING CARBON (MS-7883) CPU: Intel® Core™ i7-6850K CPU @ 3.60GHz HVM: Enabled IOMMU: Enabled Cache: 384 kB, 1536 kB, 15360 kB Memory: 32 GB (max. installable capacity 512 GB) Kernel: Linux 4.18.20-unRAID x86_64 GPU: 2x SAPPHIRE NITRO+ RX 570 4GB IOMMU Groups: IOMMU group 30: [1002:67df] 02:00.0 VGA compatible controller: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. 4. old post but... Im using Unraid 6.3.5. The e2400 works but not wake on lan capability via drivers Under Windows..it works.
  5. Can anyone say something about it? Does anyone have a similar build?
  6. Hi, do I urgently need a graphics card for the management? Board: MSI x99A 16x/16x/0x/8x GPU: ex. 2x GTX 1080 The first GPU is master for output, right? The installation is done with thus card. Later, the management goes over Shell and Webconsole. Can I use both GPUs for VM then? Or.. Can I use a GPU in the last slot for management and output? I thought the BIOS always used the first GPU near the CPU as primary.
  7. Hi everyone, i'm new to LimeTechs Tower. I plan to switch my old Windows Server 2012 R2 build: - Supermicro H8-SCM-F - AMD OPTERON 4174HE 6 Core - 16GB RAM - 3x 2TB HDD WD Raid - 1x 128GB SSD Samsung Boot Services: Domain, Filer, Homematic To a new tower build: - MSI x99 Gaming 7, 40 Lanes - Intel Core i7-6850K, 6x 3.60GHz, 40 Lanes - 32GB Kit (2x16GB) Ballistix Sport LT DDR4-2400 CL16 - Maybe 2x MSI GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GT OC 4GB - HDD and SSD above 24/7 Services (Homematic,...) over Raspberry, Cubie, Tinker or another one. Is this configuration ok for 2 VM Gamers and 1-2 Server/Workstation VM (Applikations, Services only)? Gaming over inhouse Streaming, maybe Moonlight. I'm thinking about an AMD Threadripper build, too. But there is a problem with IOMMU groups, I hear.
