  1. This is a little bit of a moneybags solution, but, if budget isnt an issue then an intel optane 900p add-in card. Added bonus of not taking a slot on my jbod controller either. https://www.intel.ca/content/www/ca/en/products/memory-storage/solid-state-drives/gaming-enthusiast-ssds/optane-900p-series.html I bought a 280gb model for my cache drive and am now regretting not getting the larger one. I want to replace it with the 480gb model but I cant stomach the thought of wasting the existing drive. Didnt take UHD filesize into account when I was sizing my cache. Maybe one day Ill get my 10G network card working with unRaid and actually see useful performance from my cache too.
  2. I would appreciate it if the new Aquantia network driver could be built into the next release. I have an Aquantia multi-gig NIC (AQN-107) that is not working properly in Unraid. With the same cards in my Windows machines, a driver update has gotten them working and now a new linux driver has been released (2.0 vs 1.5.345 in the stock build). The previous driver has some major known stability problems. I was initially planning on building and installing the driver myself, but, I cant seem to make heads or tails of how to get this done in slackware and am hoping this is the right place to reach out with a build request. Thanks
  3. I am struggling to upgrade a network driver and I hope that this is the right place to come for help. I have an Aquantia multi-gig NIC (AQN-107) that is not working properly in Unraid. With the same cards in my Windows machines, a driver update has gotten them working and now that a new linux driver has been released (2.0 vs 1.5.345 in the stock build) I was hoping to build and install it. I have some rudimentary experience with linux and drivers but it has all been with Ubuntu and more or less automated installs. I cant seem to make heads or tails of how to get this done in slackware and was hoping someone would be able to reach out with some help. Thanks
