  1. I've had some weird issues with rebooting hanging up over the past year but after upgrading to 6.12.6 it's completely unable to boot.

Timer continuously counts down from 5 and then restarts (only the timer, not the machine itself.)  Any menu item I choose (except the memtest86) simply loops it back around.

    Any ideas?

You are referencing the remote share servers by IP address.  Any chance the IP address changed?  If the remote server does not have a static IP address, you are better off using the server name.

The ip address is static for the remote shares. It's not a device that's online frequently but typically I see that it's not mounted ..... After the update it showed as "not a valid configuration" and I had to remove and re-add.

Quick update on my issue with the SMB shares.   I went and removed 1 of the 2 shares and recreated it and then it fixed both of them where they turned orange "Mount" and I was then able to press the mount button and it's working.  Really weird behavior but not sure what would have caused this but just wanted to update the issue.

Edit: same problem.... Maybe? Mine is with two nfs shares that didn't come back up.

I also have had an ongoing issue where after the last 3 updates my server has not been rebooting and it requires a power cycle.

    best regards

Post a screenshot of your VPN docker config and your sonarr docker config

I am noticing the container size is growing. It grew by 2tb over a couple months.

Settings is linked to app data folder on cache drive already. Any idea what is going on?

Must be some kind of logging.  There are settings for log rotation in the hydra interface (have to click the advanced settings toggle.). You can also launch a terminal into the running container to try and poke around.

    docker exec -it <container name> /bin/bash
  6. Finally getting back to a limp after what I now must assume was some kind of power-surge or lightning strike.

    Replaced my server mainboard.

Then discovered that my H220 HBA had also failed. I replaced that.

As soon as I was able to boot I heard a drive that was clicking and knew right away it was dead.  Sure enough cache won't come up because a drive has disappeared (disk information shows it has failed SMART but I don't even have the ability to see it on the main screen.)

I left that slot unassigned and brought the array up.  I thought a btrfs pool should still come up but received an error that it was unmountable.  I do have extra drives in the system that I can try to substitute but don't want to screw anything up. What do I try next?

  7. Mainboard got me booted back up but the p220 hba has gone dark. Could be the card died at the same time as the mainboard or that the "new" mainboard has a bad pci slot. Ordered a new hba card as it was the cheapest way to test.....

  8. Can anyone with an H220 and/or a SAS expander card tell me how they show up in lspci?  I replaced my mainboard on my DL380 G7 and my system has come back to life but I'm not getting any drives to show up.  I can't remember if the expansion card appears as a PCI card or if I should only be seeing the H220?  (I'm not seeing either.)

Trying to narrow down if I have a bad PCI card or a bad SAS backplane.  Or if this replacement mainboard is defective.

  9. I've got a DL380 G7 w/ an H220 HBA. Has been working and stable for years until the mainboard failed. I replaced the board and now I don't see the HBA. I've disabled the onboard p410i and confirmed all cables are plugged in and the PCI-E riser is firmly seated (and there's a power light that indicates it's powered up.)

I don't see any other options related to storage in the BIOS. Unraid boots fine but it's not showing the HBA in an lspci command or any drives in any of the GUI settings.  BIOS is updated (P67)

I feel like I'm missing something really simple but just can't figure it out. Any ideas?

Former HP tech here - I have a DL380 G6 at home (basically the same server, only motherboard is slightly different to the G7) and had this once. I'd reseat the CPU(s), RAM and riser card and If still no joy then it's likely the system board has died unfortunately.

Thanks!  I appreciate the response.  Have reseated everything and ordered a new power backplane as well as mainboard.  Luckily parts for these old girls are cheap.

  11. DL380 G7 has basically been up for almost 10 years without issue. It's in a dusty and humid environment but I've never had any trouble (and surprisingly with the cover removed there's no sign of corrosion and very little dust.) I push the power button and fans spin up, lights start to blink and then it just..... turns back off?

Amber power light and red system health light (blinking) are the only errors reported. No other warning lights lit. Only green lights on the inside.

Have swapped power supplies and it made no difference.  Using factory heavy duty cables (possible one bad cable but I am getting green lights on the power supplies and think it would still boot with 1 good p/s..... right?

iLO working as expected and no error messages in the logs.

Anyone have any other ideas I can try?

That's what I figured. For whatever reason after installing macinabox, nothing shows up under my VM tab. I've followed the instructions unless there's something I'm missing.

You have to watch the video to see how to use the docker w/ the userscripts to install the VM.

  13. I wasn't able to get the macosinabox to ever work (not sure if it's because I have an X5660 machine?)  But I did get this dockerized version to work relatively easily.  I'm curious, though -- does anyone know how we can build this to its own image or disk?  It adds at least 20gb to my docker.img file and doesn't seem to survive blowing that up and starting over once you get the image installed?

I was hoping that the update to 6.11.4 (and then 6.11.5) which brought an update to Samba 4.17.3 would resolve this, but no luck...

The Total Commander developer, whose app is also having this issue, thought perhaps it is affecting the android apps which use the smbj samba library, which he uses: https://github.com/hierynomus/smbj  That said, I don't know if it is actually the issue or what to do with the information even if it was.

I dunno what else I can do at this point. I've also tried a ton of things. I followed up with the developer of my favourite explorer app who never responded before, but I'm not holding my breath...

I believe it's a samba bug and I have opened a new bug report with them to look into it.  https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=15247

Thanks!.  CA Backup installed.  One other question: do I need to disable docker before backing up the appdata directory?  I know Plex does periodic updates to its database.

CA Backup should automatically stop your dockers.

I'd be careful backing up your plex cache. It will be really slow and take up tons of space. It can re-generate thumbnails in the background and seems like it does it in real time if users are browsing (if that's even a feature that matters.)

  17. I think this is a samba issue and is related to the file managers that are failing using gvfs as the library to access.

Plenty of bug reports related to this for version 4.17.0 but supposedly resolved with 4.17.2 (although obviously still some issues.)

I do not believe there is a utility in unRAID to downgrade a specific package?
