so i had to use the usb creator to create a usb, then manually copy over everything from my zip file. that is all fine my concern is that the backup doesn't work.  is the online backup not supposed to do the whole usb, it just does the config folder? i guess i need to move a bunch of stuff to the config folder in that case.

okay that was very wrong.
 
you cannot change the hyperv mode line, nor should you.  i don't think.
 
i changed the
 
    <smbios mode='sysinfo'/>
 
to
 
    <smbios mode='host'/>
 
removed ..
  <sysinfo type='smbios'>
..
</sysinfo>
 
if that fails. i will try again by putting the mode to 'emulate' and putting back the sysinfo lines with the bios and chassis info etc.

upgrading seemed to fix whatever my issue was ..

now that everything is running so well i am reluctant to update again
 
Current unRaid Version: 6.12.2 Upgrade unRaid Version: 6.12.3. i guess i will read the release notes on .3 and see how many changes there are to weigh the risks.

i think i got it.
 
all previously posts were with docker disabled.
 
i have removed the dynamix file integrity plugin, and started up docker.
 
so far so good. load average is floating around ~2.4 to ~3 ,, ah gone down to 2.2 and lower ~1.71
 
so that is ~12 dockers running and the parity check

 
so thank you for your help but i believe all is well again, i guess that plugin is broken or defunct now, or not and i just need to rework it better if its still useful.
