I have 6 of the WD Red WD40EFRX Hard Drives for sale in Brisbane. These are CMR drives (better than SMR). They have been used in an array for less than a year. Will not post but will deliver in the Brisbane area. $100 each or all 6 for $500.

I am sure something like this has been asked before but I have not been able to find it in the forums. If anyone can point me in the right direction, I really appreciate the help. I somehow stuffed up while trying to install unmenu and several other add-ons at once on my tower running 4.7 and completely lost the frontend. It ran fine but with no front end for a while until my motherboard failed. It has been sitting in cupboard for a year and I have just rebuilt the server with new CPU, motherboard and PCI-E sata cards. I ran a Ubuntu live disk and have verified that all the hard drives appear. I have the list of disk numbers and serial numbers from when the previous server was working. To get my server back up and running do I simply re-download 4.7 and run a fresh version and just assign the drives as they were before? Or are there some files I should keep on my flash from before? I will upgrade to 5.0 as soon as I can verify that it is working. Or should I go straight to 5.0? Thanks for your help.

Swapped the tx4/300 for my spare tx4/300 and copied a file at 79MB/s to windows. All sata cables were plugged in to the same port on the card and all drives are in the same order in UnRAID. The other card must be somehow faultyv(the first was bought 2 years before the second) so it may be firmware. Not sure which is the old and which is the newer one. SOLVED If anyone has knowledge on what the problem with the first card was, please post or link to a solution.

I am running 4.7 stable with 10 HDD (9 storage + parity). The parity and first 5 storage drives are connected to the motherboard and the other 4 storage drives are connected to a promise tx4/300 pci card. I am only getting 2.5MB/s read and write speeds to the drives on the tx4. These are the copy speeds shown by windows and the same when I run hdparm in the terminal using telnet. Does anyone know why this would be happening?
