  7. Hi all, didn't do anything... Now it is working...
  8. I was desperate to try everything...
  9. Thanks. I was also exploring the possibility or some SAS drive weirdness.
  10. Will try again But I already did this before as it had my password stored. But does it mean if windows is asking my username and password that i already removed my credentials?
  11. Hi All, I am new to unraid and was trying to make an SMB share.. 1. I had an issue to where even a public share is asking me a password. 2. Even if I use my root login / created user the password is not accepted by the server ( using the windows explorer with //ip of the server/ ) it is stating that it is not accessible and to contact administrator. It is also stating that multiple connections is not allowed. 3. I slept for about 6 hrs and tried to access and it did! 4. Thinking that everything is working fine already, I made that particular folder private and my issue started happening again. 5. I tried to create another public share still ask back to my original problem.. I am using 8tb he8 SAS drives. I was able to pre clear and format it. It does spin down. Any thoughts?
  12. Hi all, I am new to linux and unraid..I've been experimenting and unraid looks promising. I am about to buy a pro license but I have a few questions: I am have a 16 bay build and upon assembly looking at youtube videos all they do is put all the drives in then power up the machine.. Question: 1. How can I make sa drive " A " as my first bay aka bay 1. say if the server is powered off 2. If say a drive fails how can I identify it and make sure that I am removing the correct defective disk? 3. If I already have a operating server how can I do question 1 " move around the assignments ? " if the server is on? Thanks, Paul
