Hello, hello. Is there a new version Out for firefox 10 or later?

After how many month have you drive fails? It is more easy to replayce a failed drive with a norco 4224! But when you plan a new unraid it is more expensive to buy 4x Fivebay HDD rack and a pc case, as a norco4224. The PC tower ist nice to see under the table. When you have a normaly PC case, the hdd´s are in normally cases, not hot swapp cases. You spend more time to replace a failed disk with a normally pc case, as a norco rack. How are the experiences to replayce a failed drive. How long is your runningtime, when you replace a failed hdd drive?

A few lines from about me! I search a few month to a "media storage container". I tried Freenas and Windows Homeserver! After a few horrible weeks i have read in a german forum from "Unraid"! That was the exact "THINK" what I require Oh no ... only a english support forum. No forum in german language.. My english is verry rusty, because i am a german. ....oh nooooo, unraid is LINUX!!! I have no plan from linux!!! So what, google and www.dict.cc are my new friends. I installed unraid and copied a few terra in my new "media Gate". After a change from 4.7 to 5.0xx i had a mistake, so i confoundet the HDD places. I lost a few terra byte. Oh noooo! My luck was my friend... he is my backup! I installed the 5.0xx and my pain come from the beginning. After a good help here from the forum my unraid works perfect with unmenu and simple features... almost perfect The S3 funktion did not work allone. I spend a few days to make it perfect for ME! So, now i wrote down MY easy way to DAYDREAM my unraid. My hardware now is: Asrock alive nf7g with a sempron LE1250 fix adusted @800 mhz to 0,8V My cooler is a Thermaltake SonicTower Rev. 2 passiv 3x Western 2 tb HDD and ad 160 GB Western HDD I use a Kingston SSDNow V+100 96GB as cache drive. 350 W bequiet power supply. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- MY EASY WAY TO DAYDREAM UNRAID 5.0-beta12a All files you need are at the attachment from my post! I put my USB flash drive into my windows machine! Unzip/unrar the s2ram AND the s3 file! In the folder bin, i put the s2ram file. Then put the s3.sh file in the folder bin! Unzip/unrar the libx86 file! In the folder packages i put the libx86-1.1-i486-1.tgz file. Then i opend the go file from folder config with a notepad. I wrote to the end of the existing lines: installpkg /boot/packages/libx86-1.1-i486-1.tgz /boot/custom/bin/s3.sh & and save the go file to the same folder. That´s it! Put the USB Flash drive to your unraid and reboot! --------------------------------------------------------------------- The s2ram and the s3.sh files i fínd here in deep in the forum. The libx86 file i find on google! --------------------------------------------------------------------- For me it works perfect! Thanks for all and now .... Efficiency ist the magic word. You can change the power supply to a 750W supply. I was amazed as i hear, a AmdX4 have 20W Power consumption with a 750 W power supply on idle... Here can you read a test from BIG power supply ´s http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/750-watt-psu-80-plus-gold,2927-11.html The SEASONIC 760 have a efficiency from 90% by 20 % load!!! The fan from the SEASONIC starts at 20% LOAD to the power supply (150WATTs) and from 21 to 50% supply load the fan had only 16 dB(A) noise. NO, i´m not a worker from seasonic, but this is my favorite power supply because verry quiet and verry efficient!

OK! I read circa five days here in the forum and find my way to send unraid sleep! In a few hours, i post MY way to send unraid V 5.0xx to sleep. From beginners to beginners... Thanks for help...

Is there a new way to SLEEP (S3) V. 5.0xx ? Is there a new way to "klick" the "Sleep" button (simple features) from a script? Has anyone an idea to put this url: "/plugins/simpleFeatures/include/commands.php", data: "com=sleep", success: function(data) in a working script?

When i click on browser (simple features plugin) SLEEP ... unraid go to sleep. When i send a magic packet ... unraid stands up... how can i sent unraid go to sleep with a command I have read here in the forum, a lot of user use S3 with later unraid version than 4.7.

Hello, i use the S3 script to lay down to sleep my unraid! But a command says : echo 3 > /proc/acpi/sleep I got an error message on telnet screen I look with mc in the /proc/acpi/ entry. But there is no SLEEP ??? There is a : alarm event wakeup Entry. When i click in browser (Simple Features Plugin) to the SLEEP button, unraid go to sleep. I use Version 5.012a What must i change or install to make my unraid sleep with a script? Must i change the commandline : echo 3 > /proc/acpi/sleep in the script?

Yieppie!!! ;D ;D With the mc command on telnet F4 & F12 it works fine. On bootup i have no error messages from Unraid! Now i must look if the scripts works fine... Big Thanks !!!

My unraid server have 3 2TB western green Hdds and one 160GB 5400rpm Samsung Notebook Hdd. Motherboard is a Nf7G with nf630 Chipset. CPU AMD Athlon LE1200 @800 MHz with a 350 W Bequiet power supply and 2GB RAM. On Idle unraid needs 25 Watt, all HDDs spindown Watch Movie ca 30 Watts and all HDDs Power UP circa 40 Watts. I calc ... 24 Hours a circa 30 Watts circa 720 Watts. In germany one kw/h electricy cost ca 20 Euro cents -->circa 15 Euro cents per day -->4 Euros per months --> circa 50-60 Euros per year! When u use S3 i think you save 50% money per annum. I think your unraid cost you a bottle beer in a bar per month. But unraid let your face smile every day! (When it works great to you) I love my unraid every day, but i hate my bad english and linux knowlegde every day.

Or must i type fromdos -a s3.sh command on telnet, then reboot, ONE TIME (saveproof),or every time before unraid starts? Please dont forgett, i am a linux / unraid rookie...

I have download these text from this forum. I copy and paste it to notepad++ and save it to s3.sh What should i do with script text from this forum to make it executable? What can i do? I´m a linux newbie. Where can i read step by step instructions how to do? It makes me want to tear my hair out!

Hello, how can i create a *.sh file? I´m a linux newbie & my english is verry rusty, because i´m a german user. I tried a few times to copy and paste text to a wordpad editor for a s3 sleep script. On bootup unraid says "bad interpreter ect ect..." Google says to use a notepad++ and than save the file as an *.sh with a sh structure. When i copied to unraid, i log in on telnet and type chmod +x s3.sh to make it executable. Then reboot. On bootup unraid say´s "bad interpreter ect ect...". Where are my mistakes? What is the easy´s way to make a script?

Now it´s all right! I get a PN from a member! I create under XP on my UNRAID Flash drive a folder names "extra". I copied the (simpleFeatures-0.9b-unraid-speeding_ant.tgz) file in the folder "extra". I put the Flash to my Unraid Tower and reboot. Under tower login, i type "root" and enter After root i type : "installpkg /boot/extra/simpleFeatures-0.9b-unraid-speeding_ant.tgz" Then installed the simpleFeatures Plugin. It´s so easy!!! After the boot i see the original 5.0xx skin. and the custom folder ist empty. where is my mistake? It's enough to drive one to despair.

OK! But what can I do that MY Unraid server Version 5.0xx work? MY english is not so good. MY Linux How to is verry verry bad... How long time shoud I spend to install ONE plugin? When I read a little time in english I can try. When I see a HOW to with pictures is this for ME more easy to try... But for ME is it more easy to have on Version thats COMLPETE works. Can anyone share on a filehoster (rapidshare or so) COMPLETE unraid Versions? Why? For newbies to me? I tried to install 2 Days the "Simple Features Plugin" on Version 5 but everytime it fails! I´m thinking its easyer from newbies to download "Full Versions" whithout any user configs. I´m thinking so: One actually version (Beta 5.0xx) with simple Features Plugin One Version (4.7) with unmenu Plugin One Version with both... and many other standart Versions with popular plugins/apps I think its more easy from newbies to download a beta 5 with (Example) Simple Features Plugin and unpack that on USB Flash drive. I have many friends who have big interrest to unraid, but have no chance to speak a little big english. I will try to the future to bring a little unraid wiki in GERMAN online on my Homepage. You find no infos, help and material from UNRAID in german language. So I think it´s more easy to download an unpack a COMPLETE Installed Version to a flash stick...

Hello, my english is a little bit bad. I´m a german. I have installed a unraid Version (4.7) on a USB Stick and all works verry great! I buy a dubble PLUS version. On a second USB Stick i try the 5.0XX BETA VERSIONS, but... i´m a linux idiot. I have no Plan to install a tgz file on the Stick. My Plan is to install the Simple Features Plugin. They wrote: Which preferred directory? Should i create a directory (on example PLUGINS) on the USB Stick, or on my Windows XP Computer They wrote: Which Line where What go script! Has anyone a picture to show me what they mean? I understand nothing!!! Can every one help me? I have e few friends who would buy a licene too, but there english is bad too. I would make a little how to in GERMAN on my Homepage, but i need help...
