  1. I am tying to get nextcloud setup and ran into the problem that after I followed spaceinvaderone’s videos on how to setup nextcloud and then a reverse proxy that I am not able to log into nextcloud. I am using cloudflare for my dns verification. I am guessing it is something simple but still new to this so have no idea where to start looking or what to try.

  2. Working with nextcloud and letsencrypt. When I was using cloudflare I had to change the file cloudflare.ini in the dns-conf folder and add my email address and api key to get things working. Changed my mind and went back to just using GoDaddy as my domain name provider. Is there an .ini file for godaddy that I have to change to get things to work.  Do I need to go into the site-conf and under the lines ###SSL Certificates & change those paths ?

  3. After starting my letsencrypt I get the report that I included. Does the line in yellow about the kill signal affect anything? I am also working on trying to connect to my Nextcloud. I was able to connect to my nextcloud and then made the changes to be able to access it from the web and now I can't get into it. Keeps telling me error 522: connection timed out. I am guessing it has something to do with the reverse proxy or maybe port forwarding but I have no idea where to begin to troubleshoot. Tried to check and see and make sure that I had both ports 80 and 443 open. On one page it says that they are both open and on the next it shows that only port 80 is open. getting frustrated with taking one step forward and then seems like 3 steps back. Also If I can provide any additional information to try and help, please let me know.

  5. new to all this so it takes me a little bit. I use duckdns so I am guessing it would be dynamic. How would I tell if my domain is pointing to the correct address and/or make sure port forwarding is working?  Are there some other screenshots I can take that would help you determine what the problem is? I am also getting my domain name from Godaddy, guessing that one of the dns records on their website is not set up correctly?

  6. looking for some help. I'm guessing its something easy but I can't figure it out.

    Yes, you can, Peter.

    1) Create and account at https://www.cloudflare.com/a/sign-up ;

    2) Go to https://www.cloudflare.com/a/add-site , add your domain at the text box and then hit "Scan DNS Records". When it finished, hit "Continue Setup" in front of your domain name;

    3) In the next page, you will see that CloudFlare will setup some DNS records for you by default. You don't need to change them except you need to deactivate the traffic protection (you need to click on the orange clouds in "Status" until they becomes gray). Hit "Continue";

    4) In the next page, it will ask you to choose a plan. Please select "Free Website" and hit "Continue";

    5) In the next page, it will present you some DNS nameservers. Copy those on the second column, you will need them later;

    6) You're done with CloudFlare. Now go to GoDaddy, and change your DNS nameservers to those you get above.

    The basic setup is done. Now I need to know what router do you use? If it's pfSense, we can use it's internal DDNS client; if not, we will have to use another client hosted on your server, ok?

    I use pfsense and wondering what to do to complete this after changing the nameservers on GoDaddy
