  1. No, not able to figure it out. noVNC works on a desktop browser on a desktop operating system, but never from a mobile browser, including iPadOS.
  2. Hello, I have searched extensively and either the solution hasn’t been posted or my Google skills are failing me. I am on unRaid 6.8.3 and have a few Linux VMs running with no modifications to the xml. unRaid assigned them the default VNC ports of 5900/5901/5902 (etc...). I have no VNC password set. VirtIO is However, when attempting to access the VNC Remote using a browser from an iPad (Safari/Chrome), noVNC never connects. Is there some issue with the hyperlink provided by unRaid? This is the hyperlink provided for one of the VMs. This is one of my VMs. VirtIO is in use and br0 is the network bridge: http://192.168.1.25/plugins/dynamix.vm.manager/vnc.html?autoconnect=true&host=192.168.1.25&port=&path=/wsproxy/5702/ What am i missing? Thank you. unraid-diagnostics-20200505-0630.zip
  3. Thank you all. Will try once I receive the new drive 🙂
  4. So then the question, if the machine is powered up but the array is not started to facilitate preclear, is there any further risk with the failing drive? Is there any risk starting in maintenance mode? Might as well run some extended smart tests while preclearing the new drive (gonna take a while 🙂)
  5. Just a quick question. I have a new drive with pending and uncorrectable errors (replacement already on the way). The server is currently shut down (started with a count of 8 uncorrectable/pending, increased to 16, then 56 after 24 hours). I know preclear is largely unnecessary with current versions of unRaid (my config is updated to current version as of today), but I'd like to use it to stress test the new drive before adding it to the array. Here's the question(S): will maint mode allow preclear to run? And more importantly, will any further harm occur with the failing disk in maintenance mode while preclear runs on the new drive? Thank you.
  6. Thank you, your advice was spot on. Server back up. Guess the unexpected outage/flash drive loss served as a spring cleaning for my server. Dockers & vms came up after array was started, but due to some glitches, I purged the Dockers (only had 3 & nothing that was critical). The vms retaining settings was a pleasant surprise as I had just done some major work on it prior to the outage. All & all just goes to show the resiliency of unraid, I guess. Now just need to get new usb drives (and different brand, shouldn't have failed after only 6 months, SanDisk ultrafit). 🙂
  7. Hello, I’ll start by saying, yes, this is going to be a time-costly lesson to me on backing up my flash configuration. That said... While adding a new drive to my array, the flash drive failed on reboot. I have already reinstalled unRaid on a spare flash drive, booted, and replaced the key. I have also (with the wealth of knowledge available in the forum) managed to manually mount each drive and determine which drive contained what. I thought the CA Appdata Backup / Restore was backing up the flash drive, but cannot locate any folder/file resembling the USB flash backup. I was able to find the folder where backups were occurring, and found backups of various dockers, vms, and libvrt.img (?), but no flash. I’m assuming I’ve lost the setup and have a theory going forward on how to restore. When I attempted to assign disks to their previous locations and started the array, everything assigned in a different order than desired. What’d I’d like to do is reset the config without losing the data currently on the drives (mostly backup data, but took a very long time to get the data there). So put simply, how do I set a new configuration “without” losing the data? And how do I ensure the disks are put in the order I want them to be? Thank you much in advance. Em p.s. Did try searching the forums, which got me as far as I could. If there IS a post that addresses my need, please kindly just post a link and I’ll read thoroughly and rebuild my array. Again, thank you. 🙂
  8. Anyone know if noVNC has been updated?
  9. Ok, I've set the reconstruct-write on, installed the fix problems plugin, and am reading through the tips & tricks wiki. Plan on updating bios this weekend (can't during the week, kids, don't ask ) Thank you all, will let you know how things go.
  10. Will do. Letting parity check run through the night. Everything else look ok? And thank you.
  11. Hello, New to unraid (still on the trial). Server is AMD Ryzen 5 2600, 16GB Corsair DDR4-2666, Asrock motherboard, various Seagate ironwolf hard drives (yes, parity is largest drive). Seems that any time I am doing something with the array (backing up home computer to it, moving files between drives to balance shares) and the mover is invoked via scheduler, the entire server freezes with no response except a dirty shutdown. I've kept an ssh tail session open but saw no errors at all. The last entries before the freeze were: Nov 27 19:12:45 unRaidServer kernel: mdcmd (363): spinup 2 Nov 27 19:12:45 unRaidServer emhttpd: req (38): cmdSpinup=disk2&startState=STARTED&csrf_token=**************** Nov 27 19:12:59 unRaidServer emhttpd: error: send_file, 139: Broken pipe (32): sendfile: /usr/local/emhttp/update.htm Nov 27 19:13:08 unRaidServer emhttpd: req (39): cmdSpinup=disk3&startState=STARTED&csrf_token=**************** Nov 27 19:13:08 unRaidServer kernel: mdcmd (364): spinup 3 Nov 27 19:21:00 unRaidServer kernel: mdcmd (365): spindown 1 Nov 27 19:28:09 unRaidServer kernel: mdcmd (366): spindown 3 Nov 27 19:36:36 unRaidServer kernel: mdcmd (367): spindown 1 Nov 27 20:00:01 unRaidServer root: mover: started Nov 27 20:00:01 unRaidServer root: mover: finished Diagnostics attached (I hope). unraidserver-diagnostics-20181127-2123.zip
