  1. I had to run the docker configuration manually cause the automatic from CA is not mapping correctly the "iCloud" name too. But now I have another problem when I start it:

"Error: Invalid value for "-d" / "--directory": Path "/home//iCloud" does not exist"

No reason to do that. Everyone runs Plex as a docker on Unraid.

If you haven't already, install Community Applications plugin:

    https://forums.unraid.net/topic/38582-plug-in-community-applications/

Then go to the Apps page to install other plugins and dockers. There are currently 772 dockers and plugins for Unraid listed there.

You're right, I didn't realize there was a docker for plex. Anyway CA is the first thing I've installed ;)

I just need to find the right nvidia card for my plex installation and then I'll proceed to install it

  3. Hey guys,

nice to meet you all. After a few days of trial today I've purchased a license for my Unraid machine:

AMD Ryzen 3950x cooled by Corsair H100i

Asus ROG Crosshair VIII Hero (WIFI)
    4x16 gb DDR4 3200Mhz CL16 Corsair
5x 2TB (WD Red and Seagate Ironwolf NAS)
1x Kingston SSD 250gb Cache (to be upgraded asap)
    1x 500GB NVME Sabrent Rocket 4.0
    1x 4TB Seagate SkyHawk (soon)

    1x MSI RTX 2080
    1x Asus ROG RX580

    Powered by Corsair HX1200i

Everything will be inside the Fractal Design Define 7 XL (I will receive on next monday)

Actually I have my VM "baremetal" windows 10 pro installed on my NVME drive been passed through with the RTX2080 for gaming purpose, a MacOS Catalina on the SSD (Job purpose with the AMD RX580), another W10 VM for VMS (Blue Iris), a VM for Home Assistant and a Dropbox docker.

I'm willing to install another VM for PLEX (I still have to buy the nvidia Quadro for it) and if I make to fit a quad nic I'd like to install pfSense for managing my home networking (still have to buy the pci-e nic).

Next steps will be to liquid cool everything and to manage the quietest solution for this server that has to be online 24/7

    ciao

    Marco
