  1. This issue has been resolved and I have successfully setup 2 VR headsets (index and vive wireless) on a single computer! My issue was that i got the vbios when the 1080 ti was in the first slot instead of the second.
  2. sorry for late response, unraid glitched out and deleted my vms. no worries though i only had 2 simple ones and when i recreated them everything worked again. thank you for you help.
  3. Hello, i have been attempting to passthrough my "Gigabyte AORUS GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Xtreme Edition 11GB" card but i still get the black screen no matter what. i know i'm really close but i need somehelp figuring out what i'm missing. I have already sucessfully passed my gtx 1050 and got that setup on a vm but now i'm trying to get m 1080 ti to work. i have been able to boot and get to the desktop in VNC and check the device manager and get the code 43 error (see image). i'm pretty sure it detects me using a vm and i'm out of ideas on how to trick it. I also downloaded the regular and gameready drivers for the 1080 ti (updates were done later with no effect). Things i've tried/have active: -SeaBios <- no display and failed to boot widows 10 -Passing bios rom (i watched spaced invader) <- black screen -forced ACSI mode <- black screen -that hidden kvm trick <- black screen Heres the xml <?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?> <domain type='kvm'> <name>Windows 10B</name> <uuid>509355d9-537c-77b5-ad8e-7bd05199eeff</uuid> <metadata> <vmtemplate xmlns="unraid" name="Windows 10" icon="windows.png" os="windows10"/> </metadata> <memory unit='KiB'>6815744</memory> <currentMemory unit='KiB'>6815744</currentMemory> <memoryBacking> <nosharepages/> </memoryBacking> <vcpu placement='static'>5</vcpu> <cputune> <vcpupin vcpu='0' cpuset='0'/> <vcpupin vcpu='1' cpuset='1'/> <vcpupin vcpu='2' cpuset='2'/> <vcpupin vcpu='3' cpuset='3'/> <vcpupin vcpu='4' cpuset='4'/> </cputune> <os> <type arch='x86_64' machine='pc-i440fx-3.1'>hvm</type> <loader readonly='yes' type='pflash'>/usr/share/qemu/ovmf-x64/OVMF_CODE-pure-efi.fd</loader> <nvram>/etc/libvirt/qemu/nvram/509355d9-537c-77b5-ad8e-7bd05199eeff_VARS-pure-efi.fd</nvram> </os> <features> <acpi/> <apic/> <hyperv> <relaxed state='off'/> <vapic state='off'/> <spinlocks state='off'/> </hyperv> <kvm> <hidden state='on'/> </kvm> </features> <cpu mode='host-passthrough' check='none'> <topology sockets='1' cores='5' threads='1'/> </cpu> <clock offset='localtime'> <timer name='hypervclock' present='yes'/> <timer name='hpet' present='no'/> </clock> <on_poweroff>destroy</on_poweroff> <on_reboot>restart</on_reboot> <on_crash>restart</on_crash> <devices> <emulator>/usr/local/sbin/qemu</emulator> <disk type='file' device='cdrom'> <driver name='qemu' type='raw'/> <source file='/mnt/user/isos/virtio-win-0.1.160-1.iso'/> <target dev='hdb' bus='sata'/> <readonly/> <address type='drive' controller='0' bus='0' target='0' unit='1'/> </disk> <disk type='file' device='disk'> <driver name='qemu' type='raw' cache='writeback'/> <source file='/mnt/disk1/domains/Windows 10B/vdisk1.img'/> <target dev='hdc' bus='sata'/> <boot order='1'/> <address type='drive' controller='0' bus='0' target='0' unit='2'/> </disk> <controller type='pci' index='0' model='pci-root'/> <controller type='sata' index='0'> <address type='pci' domain='0x0000' bus='0x00' slot='0x04' function='0x0'/> </controller> <controller type='virtio-serial' index='0'> <address type='pci' domain='0x0000' bus='0x00' slot='0x05' function='0x0'/> </controller> <controller type='usb' index='0' model='ich9-ehci1'> <address type='pci' domain='0x0000' bus='0x00' slot='0x07' function='0x7'/> </controller> <controller type='usb' index='0' model='ich9-uhci1'> <master startport='0'/> <address type='pci' domain='0x0000' bus='0x00' slot='0x07' function='0x0' multifunction='on'/> </controller> <controller type='usb' index='0' model='ich9-uhci2'> <master startport='2'/> <address type='pci' domain='0x0000' bus='0x00' slot='0x07' function='0x1'/> </controller> <controller type='usb' index='0' model='ich9-uhci3'> <master startport='4'/> <address type='pci' domain='0x0000' bus='0x00' slot='0x07' function='0x2'/> </controller> <interface type='bridge'> <mac address='52:54:00:29:e5:03'/> <source bridge='br0'/> <model type='virtio'/> <address type='pci' domain='0x0000' bus='0x00' slot='0x03' function='0x0'/> </interface> <serial type='pty'> <target type='isa-serial' port='0'> <model name='isa-serial'/> </target> </serial> <console type='pty'> <target type='serial' port='0'/> </console> <channel type='unix'> <target type='virtio' name='org.qemu.guest_agent.0'/> <address type='virtio-serial' controller='0' bus='0' port='1'/> </channel> <input type='tablet' bus='usb'> <address type='usb' bus='0' port='2'/> </input> <input type='mouse' bus='ps2'/> <input type='keyboard' bus='ps2'/> <graphics type='vnc' port='-1' autoport='yes' websocket='-1' listen='0.0.0.0' keymap='en-us'> <listen type='address' address='0.0.0.0'/> </graphics> <video> <model type='qxl' ram='65536' vram='65536' vgamem='16384' heads='1' primary='yes'/> <address type='pci' domain='0x0000' bus='0x00' slot='0x02' function='0x0'/> </video> <hostdev mode='subsystem' type='pci' managed='yes'> <driver name='vfio'/> <source> <address domain='0x0000' bus='0x01' slot='0x00' function='0x0'/> </source> <rom file='/mnt/disk1/domains/gtx1080ti.rom'/> <address type='pci' domain='0x0000' bus='0x00' slot='0x06' function='0x0'/> </hostdev> <hostdev mode='subsystem' type='pci' managed='yes'> <driver name='vfio'/> <source> <address domain='0x0000' bus='0x01' slot='0x00' function='0x1'/> </source> <address type='pci' domain='0x0000' bus='0x00' slot='0x08' function='0x0'/> </hostdev> <hostdev mode='subsystem' type='usb' managed='no'> <source> <vendor id='0x046d'/> <product id='0xc247'/> </source> <address type='usb' bus='0' port='1'/> </hostdev> <memballoon model='none'/> </devices> </domain>
  4. got my windows 10 VM working and downloaded all the things i needed for it. So then i changed the settings from using VNC to my Nividia Geforce GTX 1050 (2nd GPU). It boots and runs fine however i'm now getting an error in device manager with this device status "Windows is still setting up the class configuration for this device (code 56)" (see attached photos). 6. Thank you both for your help I was able to finally get it to work in VM Workstation Pro by creating a VM with an ESXi host. Here's the link if anyone wants to try this https://www.ostricher.com/2012/09/setting-up-unraid-vm/ Thank you Again
  7. I did what you suggested but no luck. I have a LinkSys router and xfinity router (low firewall settings) both set with DHCP enabled. johnnie.black mentioned about link detection: no could that be an issue? or should i not block port 113?
