  1. Hi everyone,

Hope you can help me here with this. I can't get my windows 10 install running in a VM again.

    What do I have:

I have a ssd with a Windows 10 install that I use for booting directly into win10.

    What do I want:

I want to use this ssd and win10 to run it as a VM in unraid if I need it.

    What is my problem:

I always run in to this blue screen with inaccessable boot drive. I tryed already all possibilities with the config. Etc. It is always the same. Blue screen or nothing at all.

Can you help me here? Maybe I missed something

    Thx

Installiere dir mal "stress":

    wget https://packages.slackonly.com/pub/packages/14.2-x86_64/system/stress/stress-1.0.4-x86_64-1_slonly.txz -P /tmp
    upgradepkg --install-new /tmp/stress-1.0.4-x86_64-1_slonly.txz
    stress --cpu 8 &

    pkill -x stress

    Hi,

21-05-26T13:19:57.739] [WARN] nodeJS - error description: docId = 3438171599 errorId = Update Version error

    Danke

    Gruß

Unraid/BIOS/Router.

    Gruß

i have some issues with the Onlyoffice Server Docker. I get this Error after opening a document and try to edit and safe it for a couple minutes:

    I use:

    Nextcloud Docker

    NGINX Proxy manager

    Can you help me here?

I am not sure on your setup BUT I have pihole setup with the default blocklists as well as a great deal more. I have just tried to update a plugin and it worked fine.

If you have setup pihole with its own IP AND you don't have the advanced docker option checked which allows for the "Host to communicate with custom networks" then I am going to guess that your issue relates to your unRAID server not being able to use pihole as a DNS server and therefore resolve the address that is used for updates.

Assuming I am right, you should add DNS servers - say Googles (1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1) - to your network config, meaning independent to your pihole setup, unRAID can always resolve addresses it needs to resolve whether the container is started or not.  To me that is a no brainer as there is nothing unRAID does you would wan to block.  In fact, you should do this anyway otherwise when you go to restart unRAID (when the container is not started) then it is not going to be able to do its network call home thing that it does (assuming it still does that) meaning you might not even be able to start the server.

THX Danioj, this solved my issue!

    - I Enabled Host Acess to custom Network in advanced Docker settings

    - I disabled preserve user defined Network in advanced Docker settings

The multiple DNS servers is handled by my router. So it does this job already.

Hi All, it's time for yet another request for help with adding external storage. I saw this topic has come up several times before in this thread and others, but none of the prior solutions worked for me. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

So, I'm trying to add a share called 'pictures' as an external storage within the Nextcloud container.

    5.png.1ab3f1dbb54f7729a74dd787506b8b15.png

    • I checked that the workgroup is indeed WORKGROUP, as that is the same used by my windows PC. I'm able to connect/browse/edit the SMB share from my windows PC without any issue. Also tried it with the 'domain' field in Nextcloud simply being empty.
    • Currently the share is set to public, but I've tried it with Secure/Private as well.
    • I searched around in various Nextcloud/smb log files, but I couldn't find any log that gets generated from actually trying to create the external storage in Nextcloud? Other than the angry red circle. Is there anywhere I can look to see *why* the attempt to create the external storage failed?

I should add that I'm aware that you can mount the share within the Nextcloud container and add it as a Local external storage instead, but that's my last resort. I'd much prefer to get it working as an SMB external storage.

I appreciate any help anyone might be able to give!

    Hi,

i also have the same problem. Can someone help here? There are several post about this problem but no answer to it.

I appreciate the awesome work that you are doing here. so i hope someone can help or make a how to video ^^

    Thx

  9. Hi community,

my gpu dont want to passthrough on a Win10 VM. I`m sorry to open up this topic but i checked the last week every related video or topic on that issue what i could finde. I tried all the diffrent combinations of settings and solutions.

I hope some one in this forum can help me. Otherwise i need to buy a secound gpu and try this as a last step.

This is my first unraid setup but i was looking in it since one year and checked all the videos from space invader and so on. Everything went fine until now. Only this VM is driveing me crazy^^

    My setup:

    URAID Version: 6.8.0-rc4

    CPU: Ryzen 2700X

GPU: ASUS RTX 2070 Strix advanced

Mainboard: Asus X470 Prime Pro (VM and IMMOU Group enabled)

Cache: 2x NVMW SSD 970 Evo Pro 500gb

    What i already tryed:

    1. downgrading to a bios before Ryzen 3 update (currently runing). Upgrading to latest bios

    2. Split up the IMMOU Group of the Card completly. It has the soundcard nd the USB C controler al in one group

    3. Hex edited the GPU bios from thechpowerup

    4. switched the settings in the VM manager from i440/Q35, Seabios/OVMF

    5. put the gpu in the secound pci slot.

    What i found out:

    1. the win10 iso will only boot correctly for setup when i use Seabios. otherwhise its only a strange console (see picture)

    2. Q35 is the only way how the VM is working in Seabios. Otherwise i get the erore. (See picture)

    2. VirtIO Drivers CDRom Bus: need to be SATA, IDE dosent work.

Here you can finde my XML for the VM:
