  1. Hi All, so I am going to use MACinaBox to set up a VM on my server which I’m going to use for sonarr, as I’m not having the best experience using it in the docker. How much space should I allocate to my VM? Would it be beneficial for me to run the VM of an SSD? should I leave Plex in the docker too or should I move this to the VM? thanks michael
  2. Hi All, so new to unraid and getting the idea of how this all works slowly. I have Sonarr installed on my server and I am using this with transmission. The first time I set it up, it was downloading the relevant files, but wasn't moving these to the TV folder. I have since sort advice on reddit and have made some changes, but now its not downloading these either. Checked the sonarr logs and no errors are showing up. Here are my mappings: Any idea what the problem may be? Thanks Michael
  3. Hi Squid, this has just got me thinking. So II looked at the paths. My downloads were mnt/users/downloads but my media path was just media/. So I chnaged my media path to mnt/users/media. tried another transfer and boom done. Can I ask why are their two Media directories with the same content?
  4. HI All, New to unraid, still learning the basics. II have downloaded some content to my server, which is stored on Disk 3. I am moving it to my Media folder, which is split across all 3 disks, but disks 1 and 2 are maxed out. However when I move the contents of downloaded material into the media folder, I get transfer speeds that are sooooo slow. To move 18GB, it has taken about 30minutes to move 40%. I am currently doing it via the Krusader docker. Is this right, I expectecd the speeds to be faster/ non existent if the file is on the same disk?
  5. Thanks, so when I sent the logs I removed the second LAN cable just to trouble shoot it. However I have now resolved the problem and I am really angry with myself that I didn't see it sooner. The server was set with a static IP address, however that same IP address was also being issued out to my apple tv by the router via DHCP. So I have turned off static addressing on the server and am using DHCP and its working fine, with no disconnection.
  6. Thanks, Here they are. Also I have noticed today that is not just related to the VM I have had about 15 drops today. I looked at my logs and I am wondering if it is to do something with the IP address leasing, but not 100% sure. thanos-server-diagnostics-20191103-1523.zip
  7. Hi All, brand spanking new to unraid. come over from Synology so still learning how this all works, so apologies if this has been asked before. so I have installed a VM on my server (from Mac in a box). However when this is running and I’m doing something like transfers files from my synology to my unraid server it keeps disconnecting. It does this about every 10 minutes and when I say disconnected my router doesn’t even show it being there. It does eventually come back, but sometimes I have to reboot the server. I have two network cables going from the unraid to the router, which I have bonded together for Fault Tolerance. The VM ( Mac OS Catalina) uses bridging to achieve an internet connection. both of the lan ports on my network are gigabit and uses the one built into the motherboard( Intel). I am not sure where I should start. I have no experience with shell or using any Linux based commands. Any ideas would be welcomed.
