    Please ignore me... i dont have a /data folder..... but i did manage to figure out that this stupid .step file is a hidden file and for some reason my checkbox was unchecked to see them. thank you for the help.

    So i deleted the step file and now it just says update in progress. i ran "updater.phar" in the terminal and just get "Step 6 is currently in process. Please call this command later." Did i delete the wrong one... and i 100% dont have a /data folder

    So i have gone through every folder that has to do with Nextcloud... and never found what you are tell me i should see. is there a chance that my "/data" folder could be called something else?

    Thanks for the response and sorry for the super later comment back (work is a killer and keeping me away). So i went and found the "randomhash" location but didnt find the .step file. i have found a backups and downloads folder in there both of which also dont contain a .step file. I also noticed that i have 2 backups in the backup folder, which i thought was a little odd and the image below shows what is in the downloads folder. Let me know if i missed something. Thanks.

  4. Good Afternoon,

    So against my better judgement I decided to update from NC20 to NC21. Upon doing so I have been stuck on step 6 for about 2 weeks or so. this is all I get when I try and do anything:

    image.png.6406ef11f8ab7a02728c23d55aa6dd0a.png

    or this from the browser....

    image.png.a4b123a84dcd6646cca7036329e2b025.png

    I'm not sure what else to do seeing I can no longer access the system and this thing will not finish updating. I did get to, for the first time ever, update from inside nextcloud which was different than accidently updating my dock and having to figure out how to get things working again… Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks.

    You can't access Settings > System or Settings in General?
    Does the rest of the instance working ok?
    If you can access Settings > Logging. Do this.
    Reproduce the error you getting and then grab a screeshot of the logging. (so the error will be recent)
    If you can't access Settings > Logging, Do this
    Reproduce the error you getting and then post the "nextcloud.log" which is located in your /data folder.

    Also open the docker console on nextcloud and do

    * occ status

    * occ check

    * occ maintenance:repair

    * occ upgrade

    * updater.phar

    And post the results.
    Please before posting anything, check if there is any personal info and deduct them.

    I decided to google a bunch of stuff and typed this into my terminal for my docker...

    docker exec -it nextcloud updater.phar

    Turns out i am on the latest version of Nextcloud but still cant figure out why i cant get to the system settings. i have also looked at the occ list to see if it was disabled and it is in fact enabled... i have run out of ideas.

  12. I understand that this was for that particular incident but i figured i would use this for the issue that i am having. i recently upgrade my processor and power supply and thought that everything went well. i started up the array not thinking to look and make sure all devices were in the list and noticed that 1 of my cache drives was missing. i shut everything down checked all my cables, started up the system again, and was able to add it with the indication "all info will be wiped from this drive" because it was now looked at as a new drive seeing the array was started without it the previous boot. i started the array with it and started to get an error... Warning [server] - Cache pool BTRFS missing device(s). im not sure what to do seeing it looks like everything is run fine with the exception of that error. i have attached some images that have lead me to confusion about the issue. i also noticed that my cache pool size is double what it was before the incident. i thought when the drives were pooled that they were only the size of 1 drive because the other is essentially a backup. let me know if there is any other info that can be used to help you help me. i am very much a noob when it comes to terminal and software so please give details of what you would like me to do. Thanks.

    Check your config.php in appdata/nextcloud/www/nextcloud/config
    And confirm that the version it mentions is the correct.

    it says 16.0.0.9
    i have no idea if thats the right version or not. sorry if these are stupid questions... how to i see what version is currently installed if i cant access the setting menu?

    Click on the docker icon => console
    run 'occ app:list' without quotes.
    this will list all the available apps and on the last rows it will tell which of them are disabled. if settings is disabled or any other essential app.

    run 'occ app:enable settings' or the name of the app you want.

    Wow this was actually a big help. turns out that it was disabled but now i have another issue...

    App "Nextcloud settings" cannot be installed because it is not compatible with this version of the server.

    So i will give a little background: i accidentally updated nextcloud via the docker tab in unraid. after i made this mistake i was unable to access it altogether. i used the backup/restore plugin and have arrived here. i ran the 'occ app:list' and noticed that setting is indeed disabled (which it wasnt before i updated). now i am unable to update because i cant access the settings menu. Any more help would be much appreciated. Thanks everyone.

  15. so i have nextcloud installed and since i forced update am no longer able to access my files. i now realize that i never installed mariadb or anything to play with nextcloud, just this docker. i am very much a newb and would appreciate any help that could get me back to where i SHOULD be. if i uninstall nextcloud and start from scratch will i lose everything that i currently have in my folders? i have some 15 users with thousands of pics and files in my folders and would hate to lose everything on the account. please let me know what i should do. Thanks.
