Hi everyone,
I am currently trying to put together a system to run 2 Windows VMs but I have a small problem.
Config:
mobo: Asus Z10PA-D8 (with onboadr graphics!!)
cpus: Xeon E5-2630 v3
memory: 64GB Samsung ECC
graphics: MSI GTX 970 and Sapphire RX 470
When I plug my monitor to the mobos onboard graphics and then turn on the system everything is fine. I can normaly create VM with gpu passthrough or use existing one, shut it down and restart it no problem, everything seems to be ok.
But when I leave a monitor plugged into the one of the dedicated GPUs at the point of starting the machine I can then no longer use that GPU for passthrough. It is possible to start VM in VNC mode but not with GPU passthrough, it just says Tiano Core a then it blanks.
So to me it seems like the Unraid or the mobo can not "decide" which GPU to grab when booting to Unraid with monitor plugged into one of the dedicated GPUs.
Have someone experienced this? Do you think it is a mobo PCI subsystem issue or some Unraid setting i dont know about?
Thank you for every response.
