January 5, 20215 yr Hello all, I've been using UNRAID for over a year as a "simple" NAS but recently I decided to start converting my videos to H265, so I discovered Docker with ffmpeg, CPU encoding and ended up buying a Nvidia graphics card. I then found the nice Nvidia Driver plugin to use it with ffmpeg, but considering the limited options (of ffmpeg), I would like to turn to NVEnc (https://github.com/rigaya/NVEnc) which only works on Windows. So I created a W10 virtual machine, in order to connect my graphic card to it. Bad luck, my CPU is not VT-d compatible, so I'm waiting for my Xeon processor (an old one found on ebay) to try all this. In the meantime, working under Mac with a Parallels Windows 7 virtual machine for years, I thought I could import it into UNRAID, as I'm impressed by the reactivity of the system. I found on the internet a tutorial to extract the .hds from the .pvm then .hdd container, made the conversion to .raw : qemu-img convert -f parallels w7.hds -O raw w7.raw and tried all the options in the VM manager: the machine crashes at startup no matter what. I then tried to "reinstall" Windows 7, but I couldn't load the drivers to see my .raw, whereas with Windows 10, the drivers work without any problem. I tried to clone the machine with AOMEI, but the extension seems strange to me and Disk2vhd doesn't seem to work either. In fact, I'm coming to you because I'm running out of ideas. As it is, I just spent more time trying to get it to work than reinstalling my applications, but for sport, if I can find a way to get it to work on UNRAID, I'm curious... Thanks to you! (and thanks to Unraid, discovering Docker and VM are crazy)
