did you re-start it after rebooting?

what do you see when you type:

ps -ef | grep awk | grep -v awk

Unless you add a line to your config/go script to re-start it every time you reboot, it does not start itself.

I know this is a THREE year bump- but with good reason. If you type "//tower:8080" in a browser and it doesn't work, this is the first result. It's almost as if your browser is saying "Yo that didn't work- better check this out!"

Another reason that command won't work is if you've changed your server name. "//tower:8080" originally works because "Tower" is the default name that Unraid sets your server to. If you've changed the name, but have forgotten what it is, enter this command in the terminal:

ifconfig eth0

Look for the number beside "inet addre". That is your server's IP address and can be substituted for "tower". For example, if the number you get is 192.168.1.75, you could type this into your browser:

192.168.1.75:8080

(you won't need the // at the front)

Incidentally, you can just type the IP address (e.g. 192.168.1.75 without the:8080) and you will see the name at the top of the page. Click into "Identification" settings and change the name to something more memorable so you don't forget it again!

Hope this helps :)

Thanks, but 3years after the event, really?

May help others, agreed but i'd be surprised if this 'jewel' isnt already documented on the FAQ or elsewhere on  this forum. We should be advising people to read the forum FAQ thoroughly before posting up (and yes ... i've been guilty of posting before checking out existing posts in the past).

Specifically in this case the OP had not fully read and actioned completely the Unmenu installation faq which does say to include a startup command in the Go script as moreorless its last entries.

He hadn't completed this step of the installation which was the actual explanation for why he was unable to browse to 'tower:8080' as it hadn't been started following reboot  ;).

Nothing to do with IP addressing or naming conventions at all.
