Copying my data from external drive using midnight commander via SSH

I have a 14t easystore as unassigned drive. So it is at /mnt/disks/easystore

 

then on the other pane on mc I have /mnt/disk1/Media

 

So I am copying everything from easystore to the Media share

 

But I am confused as all the files seem to be going on disk1

 

so I'm not really understanding this virtual file system thing where three data drives are one big space.

 

Am I bypassing it by using mc?

are by-passing it by explicitly specifying disk1

 

User shares (which can multiple disks) all have a path of the form  /mnt/user/share_name
