January 31, 20215 yr I just got a notification that one of my disks has had several read/write errors. I haven't made any changes to the server recently and it's been working fine lately, so is this just a sign of this disk going bad? I have stopped the array for now to avoid any possible further damage. I've attached my diagnostics incase anyone can offer advice. I'm thinking either I rebuild that disk on the same drive if I can be sure it is still good, otherwise I'll have to get a new replacement. Thanks for any assistance. unraid-diagnostics-20210130-2055-anon.zip
January 31, 20215 yr Community Expert Disk dropped offline so there's no SMART, check/replace cables and post new diags.
January 31, 20215 yr Author I powered down and checked the cables. They seem ok visually, so I reconnected and then started up again. The disk is online again, here is the updated diags. unraid-diagnostics-20210131-0912-anon.zip
February 1, 20215 yr Community Expert Disk looks mostly OK, assuming the emulated disk is mounting correctly rebuild on top, still recommend replacing/swapping cables to rule them out if it happens again to the same disk.
