March 2, 20215 yr Hi All, New to Unraid (Version: 6.9.0-rc2), my server was running perfectly for 40ish days, then during a parity check a red X appeared next to disk 1. Being a noob, I freaked out and rebooted the server and tried to attach the disk again with no luck. I added a spare new drive and tried to attach and rebuild, but that didnt work either. As I dont really know what is wrong, it's probably best to ask here before I do some real damage. As of right now I have no idea how to fix this, or add a drive to replace the drive that was having errors. It's a brand new drive so not even sure if it's actually failing. SDG is the disk that was giving the errors. The contents of the drive is just media, but I would prefer not to lose it Any help would be greatly appreciated! If anything else needs to be uploaded please let me know! Thanks! Justin syslog.txt ST12000VN0008-2PH103_ZTN0409W-20210302-1753 (sdg).txt Edited March 3, 20215 yr by Wonger Solved
March 3, 20215 yr Go to Tools-Diagnostics and attach the complete Diagnostics ZIP file to your NEXT post in this thread.
March 3, 20215 yr Disk1 doesn't look too good. Were you planning to use that disk you posted SMART as its replacement?

March 3, 20215 yr Author I was planning on getting a replacement as it's only a month or so old. I plugged in a brand new drive, 12TB as well. When i booted up my server and tried adding the new drive to disk 1, unraid was giving me read errors as well. So not sure whats going on
March 3, 20215 yr You can't add a disk while you have another disk that needs to be rebuilt. You should replace disk1 with that new drive. Do you know how to proceed?
March 3, 20215 yr Author I tried to add the new disk to disk 1, then started the array. It didnt work, so maybe I am doing something wrong. Can you please provide some direction? Thanks
