March 5, 201115 yr With the new security model implemented in v5, if any file or folder is created by a root owned process into the array, it cannot be modified and/or removed over SMB. I'm experimenting on using a CIFS mount with forced user and group set to nobody:users, and I succeeded preventing root owned files to be created. So I'm wondering, Tom, it's difficult to do the same thing using the "shfs" pseudo filesystem? It should prevent a lot o hassle with permissions.
