opentoe
I purchased this Seasonic X660W Power Supply for my 15 drive system. The one bad thing is i'm only using Western Digital Black drives. Right now I have 3 2TB Black drives and 6 1TB Black drives. Is this power supply going to be able to handle all this 24/7 running most of the time? Here are the power supply specs, and then I'll list the HD specs below that. I just listed WATTS, as I don't know much about the amps stuff. I know maybe some of our pro builders here can comment perfectly about this. Thanks! Rajahal
+12V @ 54A Estimate 3A per black drive. You have 9. That's 27A total. You are well within the limits. That PSU could handle a 20+ drive system. Your PSU laughs at your feeble attempts to overload it Quote Link to comment
jsdds
So that's where the occasional sounds are coming from in my unraid server. Quote Link to comment
