November 2, 200718 yr Okay this could be REALLY easy to do. There are certain commands that are VERY handy to have around like the tail command to monitor sysvar. I suspect many of us use this often however some of us like myself can NEVER remember the damned syntax You will notice when you first login as root at the console that pressing the UP key usually brings back a bunch of commands that YOU haven't entered. Pretty sure these are cached somewhere and are left over as some of the last commands Tom ran as he was compiling the software. The cache file gets pulled in during the build and TaDa! we have commands at our fingertips that none of us actually entered. It would sure be nice if we could have some commands there that are useful like Tail or the Linux Shutdown - preferrably one that synchs the drives as necessary first, things like that. Tom could either enter these before the compilation or whereve they are cached could perhaps be modified with whatever commands are deemed handy. Sound good?
