November 15, 200718 yr Just got a 1500 and bought 8 500gb WD drives to start off. I still have 2 problems after trouble shooting. 1) After filling the bottom row of HD slots and the left slot on the middle row, Slot 7 the next one to the right is giving me a solid green light and the HD will not show up on the list. 2) Might be because of problem one, but the only other slot that will work for my 8th hard drive is Slot 14, the top right one. Other than that love the server and it works great. One more question, It seems I have to login the server manually w/ root before I can get in the web config. I'll take a picture and post when I get to the office, for clarification.
March 29, 200818 yr Author Totally forgot I even posted this, for future troubleshooting the fix to this problem was to reseat two unseated PCI SATA cards that got loosened by the moving gorillas.
