Having had some power failures that outlasted my UPS I'm always paranoid that something could have gotten goofed. running it from the commandline I've had soem issues, I think a hardware failure might be part of it. Anyway, is it possible to have the ability to FSCK from the UI? We'd need a way to see the output etc. so perhaps not practical but some way of more easily doing a FSCK would be appreciated. More than once I've found corruption when I have run it and it's frustrating.
