March 24, 201115 yr Just wondering if anyone has this drive. WDBAAZ0020HNC-NRSN http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136830 Looking to set this up as my parity drive. Also is it an AF format drive. Could not find it on WD web site. Thanks.
March 24, 201115 yr I don't have that drive, but I can tell you that it doesn't matter if it is AF or not. As long as you are using unRAID 4.7 or newer, you can use the drive aligned to sector 64 whether or not it is AF. Should make a nice parity drive.
March 24, 201115 yr My guess is that it is not AF because of the 32 mb cache. I believe that nearly all AF drives have a 64 mb cache.
March 24, 201115 yr Author The only thing that concerns me about this drive is that it only has one review and I am unable to locate it on WD website. I guess I will take a leap and report my results.
March 25, 201115 yr Did you ever get one of these? The only review on newegg's site states that it is 64MB Cache. Which, would lead me to believe that it is also AF. Your findings would be very helpful. TIA.
