adrenalin101
Hello everyone, I have an issue that I'm not sure if its Nextcloud related or unraid related. A couple of of weeks ago my nextcloud stopped working because it said there was a server error. I backed up all the fotos and videos then reinstalled nextcloud, so far so good. I wanted to delete the old user data Folder and set up a new folder with the same name. Whenever I try and delete the old Folder in the nextcloud share I'm given an error saying "You require permission from UBRAID (my server name)\nobody to make changes to this folder". I've never encountered this error when i am deleting movies, songs or shows of my plex (granted different share) but I don't see what the problem here is. Ive been dealing with this crap for a month and I am about to loose my mind. Any ideas on how I can fix this? Quote Link to comment

itimpi
How are you trying to delete the folder? It is quite normal for the permissions on a folder under the appdata share to not allow deletion over the network. I would try to delete it from a console session. If it will still not delete then I would suggest running a file system check/repair in case there is corruption stopping the delete. Quote Link to comment
adrenalin101
Hey Yes I am trying to delete it over the network. I'm a a noob when it comes to using the console (I've only used it following tutorials) any way you could point me instructions for how to do so? Quote Link to comment

If you want a graphical interface then I would suggest installing the Krusader docker via the Apps tab. From the command line you could use the 'mc' command to run the Midnight Commander app built into Unraid which provides a friendlier interface than the raw command line (google for instructions on using mc if needed). 1 Quote Link to comment

adrenalin101
Took a while to get around to it but I finally did it. Krusader was able to fix my issues:) On 10/10/2021 at 6:55 AM, itimpi said: If you want a graphical interface then I would suggest installing the Krusader docker via the Apps tab.
