October 14, 20214 yr Pretty noob level when it comes to networking and servers. I built my windows pc as a gaming rig a while back (years ago), see link for parts: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/myongha/saved/4Yxscf Is this enough to run an unraid nas with parity for files storage / plex media server / gaming? If so, how would I go about setting this up (as i stated complete noob). Edited October 14, 20214 yr by myongha Spelling

October 15, 20214 yr Author Do you think I would have to essentially replace everything to get the system to work? Or just a few components. I was planning on buying 3 nas drives already.

Your current system should work just fine as a file storage/non-transcoding media server. If you plan to do other, more CPU intensive tasks, then you'll need to upgrade to the modern CPU/Motherboard combo.
