April 7, 201115 yr The SAS error that you see in the middle of your syslog is "harmless" and exist in everyone server using two of these cards. The details of the crash point to two possible suspect because of the way your HD are connected to the controllers (HD connected to the third port on every controller) as evidenced by the 0300000000000000 - in your case these are "sde" and "sdi" Unfortunately one of these is the "cooked" drive. I am not sure if this drive is the culprit as it hangs the controllers or the bare fact of two 21N firmware controllers sharing the same IRQ is the reason. I suggest to move the two drives from SM2 to SM1 but leave the both controllers for now and try another spindown to see if this will happen again. Then you can flash only the SM2 (the one with no drives attached) with firmware 15N. Then move all the drives to SM2 and try again the spindown. And provide the complete syslog after every crash.
