December 1, 20214 yr Looking for some guidance here on hardware config options. I have read through the parity and cache guides and it appears I need to a couple new 4TB SSD drives for parity if I don't want to suffer in performance using what I have already. But please correct me if I am wrong here. I have gone into my recycle bin and have come up with 2 x 500GB NVME, SSDs (4TB, 250GB, 2x120GB, 64GB) and 2 x 8TB 5400 spinning. Wondering how best to place them between Parity, Array, and Cache\Pool. I don't need more than 2-4TB of space ATM. I was originally thinking the NVMEs for Cache, 4TB SSD for array and 2x120GB for Parity but that will not work of course. Thoughts? Thank you in advance for your advice here.
