April 13, 201115 yr hi there I would like to know if there is the possibility of a unraid build with dmraid enabled. I have a intel matrix raid5 (4 disks) that I would like to access inside unraid, so I can copy the data to the unraid array... does anyone have any clue on how can I do this? thanks

I have a intel matrix raid5 (4 disks) that I would like to access inside unraid, so I can copy the data to the unraid array... does anyone have any clue on how can I do this? thanks Not trying to be a downer, but this would probably be on the "never going to happen list" The only way you are probably going to get the data off that raid, is to transfer it off to disks that are not part of a RAID and formatted as something unRAID can understand.
April 17, 201115 yr Author I understand... I could was able to boot a ubuntu live CD, and mount using dmraid my intel fakeraid... at the same time I could copy everything to a few unraid drives from an array that I just created, without a parity yet.. thanks anyway
