Asus P5E-VM DO -- Should I Be Fine With This Motherboard (LINK)?

Featured Replies

One quick point, perhaps not something you care about, but Newegg says it is an ATX board, but the dimensions on their page, and confirmed on the ASUS product page are "uATX Form Factor, 9.6"x 9.6"".  That is the reason for the limited number of slots, which will limit its expandability.

Hey! Thanks for that--I was on the SUBMIT ORDER page when you replied. That mobo would have looked absolutely ridiculous inside my Stacker case.

Anyway--is there a mobo that you would recommend?

Pretty sure that's the one I'm using now and it doesn't look small in my case as I recall. It has 8 SATA including the eSATA right? Add 2 more 4 port boards and you've hit the limit of 16. What would you use the other slots for? <shrug> The board I put in my SATA box, and I think that's it, has been running perfectly fine and appears fully supported with Gige and onboard video, that's all that i cared about.
