SOLVED - IDRAC can see array but not unraid?

Featured Replies

I decided to replace a power supply on a different server and in doing so i must of bumped a cable i shouldn't of. i lost connection to the array on my main server.

setup is as follows.

R720 (main server)

4U Supermicro 45 Drive Bay External JBOD Storage SC847E16-RJBOD.

When i look in IDRAC i can see all the drives from the array in the enclosure. But when I'm in unraid it doesn't show any of the drives from the enclosure. If i can see them in IDRAC i would think i can see them in unraid. I have restarted the system a number of times.

Can anyone make any suggestions i should look at? i also tried another hba card that I pulled from a working system and that didn't help either.

Thank you.

--- Card died completely on next reboot. have ordered a new one. Thanks for the help.

Seems related to the RAID controllers, make sure JBOD mode is enable and the disks are being passed through, Unraid isn't detecting those devices, like if they don't exist.
