Are there any motherboards with ECC RAM support, known to work well with unRAID? I don't see any in the the compatible hardware list.

Both of those m/b's should work, but you'll need to get a cheap video card.

Wow, thanks for the quick reply. Any idea if the additional on-board SATA controllers will work? I know the Asus uses a Marvell 88SE614x but the Intel is a mystery (though I believe it's also Marvell since the NIC is too).... but Marvell SATA isn't listed on the compat list

I'm not sure about the on-board Marvell SATA controller.

There are driver changes necessary to move to 2.6.23.x kernel, which may or may not get into the next unRAID release.
