Old Unraid Drive showing up as "No Media"

Featured Replies

Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask. But I recently replaced a 2 TB drive that was in my array, and was planning on reformatting it and using it as an external storage drive. The problem is that it is showing up as 'No Media', and not even allowing me to format it in Windows, and in my Kubuntu, it is not even showing up at all (that I know how to check). I am using https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07F7WDZGT?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details to connect them, is that the problem?

Is the 2TB drive in question a 3.5" hard drive or a 2.5" laptop hard drive?

If it is a 3.5 hdd then you need this which has an additional a/c adapter as the USB bus does not provide enough power for a 3.5 hdd
