LOOPMDS Posted June 3, 2022 Share Posted June 3, 2022 i get an "hostfile_replace_entries" error when ssh from my primary unraid server "TOWER" to my backup unraid server "testTOWER" or the other way around... ----TOWER--- root@TOWER:~/.ssh# ssh [email protected] (testTOWER) Load key "/root/.ssh/id_rsa": invalid format hostfile_replace_entries: link /root/.ssh/known_hosts to /root/.ssh/known_hosts.old: Operation not permitted update_known_hosts: hostfile_replace_entries failed for /root/.ssh/known_hosts: Operation not permitted Last login: Fri Jun 3 13:50:54 2022 from IP.IP.IP.IP Linux 5.15.43-Unraid. ------- ----testTOWER---- root@testTOWER:~/.ssh# ssh [email protected] (TOWER) hostfile_replace_entries: link /root/.ssh/known_hosts to /root/.ssh/known_hosts.old: Operation not permitted update_known_hosts: hostfile_replace_entries failed for /root/.ssh/known_hosts: Operation not permitted Last login: Fri Jun 3 12:30:27 2022 from IP.IP.IP.IP Linux 5.14.15-Unraid. ---------- i run 6.10.0 rc2 on TOWER and and 6.10.2-rc3 on testTOWER i used ssh-keygen to create keys on both and user ssh-copy-id to ensure keys are on both. and this worked before i upgraded to 6.10.2-rc3 from 6.10.0 stable on testTOWER server. if i ssh from my windows pc to each i get no error (keys from that is on both servers. anybody else seen this issue?
