Hey everyone!  I'm your newest victim convert to Unraid.  Have been an avid Plex user and all around data hoarder for going on 15 years now.  I've gone through a series of home servers, usually machines I've cobbled together or scooped up off of Craigslist.  I've run homeboxes out of Drobos, a Mac Mini, a headless Fedora box that never really worked anyway, and my most recent version was an old 2009 Mac Pro 8-core Xeon with 32 GB of RAM and 12 TB across 4 4TBs on a RAID 0 (I know, I know) - my son called it "Shuriken".

But that's all been done away with, as for the first time I've been able to build my newest home server from the ground up with Unraid running the show.  Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the 4th generation of my home server, Serverus:

Motherboard: MSI Z590-A PRO

CPU: Intel® Core™ i5-10400

RAM: 16GB DDR4

Storage: 6x 12TB Seagate Exos = 60 TB usable storage

Cache: 1TB nvme SSD

Case: Fractal Design Meshify 2

My youngest came up with the name, and my oldest helped design the logo.

Couldn't be more excited to be part of this community!

Thank you!  I plan to add my next drive to the parity should 12TBs go on sale.  Maybe also get a 2-bay QNAP to backup my documents.
