Slow Speed on UNRAID (340 mbit)

Hello, 

 

im new to unraid and switched from proxmox to unraid yesterday.

I only get 340 mbit when downloading via smb from the server to my desktop which is wired with LAN.

 

Any idea why i cant get the full 1gbit?

atm i only have an ssd attatched

Start by doing a single stream iperf test in both directions.

seems better but not perfect.

i can guarantee that it is possible to push 1G over that line!

Good in one direction but not the other, this is usually NIC, cable, switch related, could also be NIC driver or settings or a problem with the client OS.

i dont have this problem with the exact same setup in truenas or proxmox. didnt change one thing after reinstall

Iperf is OS independent, but the driver used in Unraid might make a difference, there are also some NIC optimizations you can try with for example the tips and tweaks plugin.
