HBA + drive issue

Featured Replies

Hey there,

I am at wits' end with this issue. I have tried 3 different HBA cards (with the original working fine for over 5 years).

I have 8x 8TB drives and a 12TB parity drive which was working fine until about 1 month ago, the drives would suddenly drop off and I would have to restart unraid for them to appear again. Nothing has changed on the hardware side (except to try different HBA cards).

I have put the HBA cards in different slots to no avail - same issue. I have attached the log from today.

I have connected the 12TB parity to an onboard SATA - this appears to have no issues.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-Core @ 3600 MHz

Mobo: B450M MORTAR MAX (MS-7B89)

Version: 6.11.1

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Levi

If using a different HBA didn't help it suggests to me that the board is the problem.
