Read Only Filesystem

Featured Replies

Hello, every other day or so some of my containers will stop working because my cause drive isset as a read only file system. However when this happens. I reboot the server and everything is back to normal. Not quite sure what is going on here. Bad drive? Can someone point me in the right direction.

Pool is a mess, these errors suggests both devices dropped offline in the past:

Oct 10 13:27:34 PlexServer kernel: BTRFS info (device sde1): bdev /dev/sde1 errs: wr 23018629, rd 43586, flush 92116, corrupt 2684790, gen 0
Oct 10 13:27:34 PlexServer kernel: BTRFS info (device sde1): bdev /dev/sdf1 errs: wr 59247801, rd 1252542, flush 618630, corrupt 14809834, gen 0

Run a correcting scrub to see if it still can be corrected, then post the output.

Thanks for the reply, I tried running the correcting scrub on the cache drive but it doesn't seem to do anything. When i click on apply the screen just flash but nothing happens. Not sure if I'm doing this incorrectly. Oh and by the way the issue with the ready only filesystem happened again this morning. Attached it the diagnostics from this morning.

Both cache devices dropped offline again, check/replace cables and post new diags after array start.

I checked cables and made sure they were seated properly. After booting back up, I was able to run the correcting scrub and here is the output and new diags.

Looks good for now, see here for better pool motioning so you're notified if a device drops offline.

Great thank you for all the help. What causes this corruption. Anything I did wrong or could have done to prevent it?

The main issue was the devices dropping offline.

One of the cache devices dropped offline again, did you check/replace cables? Both power and SATA.

It dropped again, try using a different port/controller, if it keeps happening it could be the device.
