Hi all

Background:

1. I have around 15gigs of pics and 70gig of familyl video on our Unraid server. My mail/web/ftp host allow me to backup to their server.

2. I want to make an automatic backup of those files from Unraid to a remote FTP server.

I can do it manually in a telnet session, but i want to make it happen fully/semi automatic.

Need: a macro or the like I can start in a session and log out.

Nice: it copy only new and changed files.

Nice: it run on specified intervals.

One non-Linux Windows-based approach would be to use SyncBackSE, or any similar tool that supports FTP.

Unison (which I know nothing about) is a sync tool available for Linux, I believe.  I don't know for sure if it handles FTP targets.
