June 30, 201115 yr I am trying to replace a hard drive with a larger one. I took the array off line, replaced a 1TB drive with a 2TB drive and restarted the system. Now there is no network connection. I have the computer connected to a switch and there is no activity with any of the lights on the switch and I can not connect to the unraid from any other computer on my network. How do I turn on logging so I can post a syslog file? Thanks

Before you do anything else, verify you can log in as "root" on the system console. If not, verify the flash drive is still selected as your boot device in your BIOS. If you can log in on the system console, you can capture your syslog following the instructions in the wiki under "troubleshooting"
June 30, 201115 yr Author Thanks for your reply Joe. Do you believe in coincidence? When I tried to print the wiki instructions, I realized that the printer was connected to the same switch as the unraid and it was not working either. I replaced the switch and now everything is working OK. I am able to connect to the web management page and start the rebuild. I don't know why the switch failed at the same time as my upgrading the unraid disk. Last night I did a parity check from a computer in another room and it worked fine. This morning I shut the system down and changed the disk and it stopped working.
