November 7, 20223 yr Hello together, i've setup Unraid last week on a new server. Now we wanted to user an Active Directory to control access to shares, but I don't find the setting where to add Unraid to the AD I only see workgroup settings in the SMB Settings what am I doing wrong?
November 11, 20223 yr Solution Start by reading this post: https://forums.unraid.net/topic/130496-intermittent-smb-issues-after-6102-upgrade/#comment-1188483 If that does not solve your problem, ping @Geoff Bland and describe in this thread/topic what you are trying to do and what result you are getting.
November 20, 20223 yr Hi Marc, Are you trying to join the UNRAID server to the domain? If so, I noticed something similar setting up a test server the other day. Under "SMB Settings" do you have the option "Enable SMB" and are you able to select "Yes (Active Directory)"? And when do that and click on Apply does the "Active Directory Settings" section appear below? (Note the array has to be stopped). Hope that helps.

I just didn’t saw the option under SMB with yes (active directory). After enabling it, it worked like a charm. thanks anyways
